Just the facts, mam…
March 3, 2008
I am currently drinking a large glass of water and pretending it is a gigantic (and perhaps a Big Bloke) NEWCASTLE. Never has one tasted so (imaginarily) delicious. I know it is very American of me to turn to (imaginary) alcohol to relax myself, but after today I think it is ok.
I will only say this: we worked for 15 hours straight today (Lisa may be saying the same thing or something slightly different, sorry for any redundancies). This is not a complaint, as I would work for 24 hours straight for the opportunity I have been given – hell, we did it for the 48 hour film festival.
We interviewed a minimum of 6 people (with the entire appropriate setup: lights, background, 1-2 cameras) back to back to back to back to back to back… This may sound simple — and it was in some respects, but if you have ever scouted a location, transported equipment, set up, interview and torn down just one full interview you can relate to doing this 6 times in a row followed by full coverage of an opening ceremony and the subsequent reception.
Perhaps Lisa will tell the story of how I was Pradeep-ed today, which will be a much more interesting story, but I will be posting some picture that 100 people will look at and 2 will comment on. Thanks Michael Bell and Fishwrapper dude.
The pictures are on the way… they should be up by the time you have finished eating your HUANG’s (if you live in Richmond you need Huang in your life… miss you buddy).
MAKE COMMENTS PLEASE… they are fun for everyone.
I am kind of jealous, Jordan. I don’t have a Newcastle but I do have a few Chinese beers sitting next to my computer. I’ll e-mail em to ya.
When you get back Jordy, the first bloke is on me! Hopefully. hehehehehe
Sounds like a lot of tough work but also an amazing time. Has Predeep taught you anything or is he too frightened by your overt southern hospitality?
